We used the rules to create different shapes, changing each time the rule changed. It gave me some very interesting shapes to work with. We then created the shapes into 3-D forms here are some examples of the different shapes created with the different ruled shapes.
Rules
1. For every square add a triangle
2.For every triangle add a square
3.For every square remove a semi-circle
4.For every triangle make a fold

We initially started with a large piece of pattern paper, we then cello taped round the body to create a 3-D dress design, the whole idea of the workshop today was to understand taking something from 3-D to a 2-D form and then back to 3-D, the basics of pattern cutting. It was interesting to see how the different forms went from 3-D to 2-D, and how something so flat can be made into a shape.
